King Dinuzulu Hospital: EMS Accommodation
The conversion of the King Dinuzulu Hospital’s Nurses Accommodation into accommodation for students of the proposed EMS College. The accommodation was to be used as a COVID-19 quarantine facility and the conversion was completed during lockdown and within 3 months. The project entailed a complete strip (including floors, roofs and windows) and refurbishment of the 3600 m2 building.
The project scope included:
- 124 bed quarantine facility (3600 m2)
- Commercial kitchen
- Commercial laundry
- Earthworks, parking and services (1500 m2)
